6 Constables Served Show Cause Notice For Making Reel In Police Uniform

-Bhopal: Six police officers in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, were issued a show-cause notice by the relevant authorities for dressing up in police uniforms and making it viral on social media.
The six policemen made the reel while they were training at the police training center in Rewa in Madhya Pradesh, in violation of department rules.
Police said the training centre’s superintendent of police, Surendra Kumar Jain, had filed a show-cause notice seeking an explanation from them about their behavior that threatened to tarnish the image of the police force.
Six police officers prepared the reel and published it on the social media platform X at 15.04 on February 25; this platform attracted more than 5,000 viewers in three hours.
The video appeared to be inspired by a popular motivational social media post that encourages people to focus on personal development and not pay attention to what others say about them.
In the video, the police officers were heard saying, “We may not be handsome, we have a job in the government. We may not have clothes, so we have uniforms.”
Police said the show cause notice threatened disciplinary action against them if their explanations were not found satisfactory.
The Madhya Pradesh police department has banned police personnel from using uniforms in making reels and videos for posting on social media, saying it tarnishes the department’s image and warning of disciplinary action in case of violation of the rule.
