6 in custody after man experiencing homelessness stabbed to death outside Loop restaurant: officials
Six people were taken into custody Sunday morning after a man experiencing homelessness was stabbed to death outside a downtown restaurant, authorities said.
Chicago police said the man was found unresponsive around 7:20 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of South Wabash Avenue in the Loop. It was not immediately clear what led to the stabbing.

The victim, who had a visible hole in his body, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. His identity was not immediately released.

On Monday, police confirmed charges were pending.
Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest.
“This is a senseless loss of life,” Cook County Crime Stoppers Executive Director Paul Rutherford said in part. “We are deeply committed to supporting law enforcement and the community in achieving justice for this individual.”
