Federal judge orders ICE to release Kilmar Abrego Garcia

A federal judge on Thursday ordered the U.S. government to release Kilmar Abrego Garcia from custody.

“Since his return from wrongful detention in El Salvador, Abrego Garcia has been detained again, again without legal authorization.” memorandum opinion Statement from US District Judge Paula Xinis. “Therefore, the Court WILL GRANT Abrego Garcia’s Petition for immediate release from ICE custody.”
