Moment drug driver admits he is high on ketamine minutes after mowing down and killing motorcyclist as he’s jailed for 10 years

A driver high on ketamine mowed down a teenage motorcyclist and then admitted taking the drug.
Cormac Sale, 22, is seen collapsed in the back of the ambulance as paramedics ask him if he has consumed drugs or alcohol.
After initially remaining silent, he was told to be honest and responded: ‘Ket.’
The Skoda Fabia, from Sale, hit Spencer Rothwell-Poole, also 22, near Bolton, Greater Manchester, on December 14, 2024.
He was 10 times the legal limit for driving.
Mr Rothwell-Poole died at the scene and Sale was sentenced to 10 years and eight months in prison.
In a clip released by Greater Manchester Police Sales’ Skoda Fabia, another driver speeds down the road before braking suddenly as he enters the cycle lane.
Sale then accelerated, accelerating seconds before hitting Mr Rothwell-Poole.

The dead man’s father told Bolton Crown Court: ‘At 7pm on 14 December 2024 I hugged my son for the last time.
‘I told him I loved him and to stay safe he went out on his bike and never came back; All of this happened that night because of a foolish person.
‘Cormac Sale didn’t just kill my son. ‘He killed the family.’
Mr Rothwell Poole’s brother said he was ‘an incredibly safe and careful motorcyclist who did everything by the book’ and added that he missed him ‘every day’.
Detective Constable James Maskrey said the sentence reflected the ‘devastating consequences of choosing to drive recklessly and while drunk’, adding that ‘dangerous driving destroys lives’.
