Wrong Blood Transfusion Shocks MGM hospital

Warangal: In a shocking incident, a patient in Hanamkonda’daka Mahatma Gandhi Monument (MGM) hospital was allegedly given a patient’s blood transfusion.

According to the patient’s husband, Raju was accepted by fire and respiratory problems on September 16, Jyothi (34), the wife of Ayodhyapuram in Kazipet. The doctors found that the blood count was low and sent an example to the blood bank.

Technicians reportedly defined the blood group as B-positively defined and young doctors performed transfusion on 17 and 18 September. Although Jyothi has repeatedly told the staff that the real blood group is O-positive, his concerns were ignored.

Jyothi developed stomach pain and diarrhea after receiving the wrong blood group. On Saturday, when a third transfusion was planned, the staff became suspicious and re -tested the blood sample. The test confirmed that the blood group was really positive. Raju said later that corrective measures were initiated immediately.

MGM Hospital Manager Dr. Kishore Kumar confirmed that an investigation was ordered. “An investigation committee was established with doctors from the pathology, general medicine and blood bank, ve and added that the patient’s condition is now fixed.

However, medical experts warned that the transfer of the wrong blood group could cause serious complications such as bleeding or rashes, and probably some effects occurred months later.
