Boris Becker regrets winning Wimbledon aged 17
Retired in 1999 and then work as a TV pundit– Between 2013-2016, Becker coached Novak Djokovic for three years and helped Serb win six of 24 Grand Slam.
The 57 -year -old child, who wrote a book about when he spent in prison, said Djokovic was comfortable with his 2022 success in Wimbledon.
“When I saw him on TV, I was supporting Djokovic when I won the matches and finally won the title against Nick Kyrgios,” he said.
“This was very inspiring for me, and in the end it is very emotional for me. My brother Novak is there and I’m in one of the worst prisons in the world. So he puts life on the perspective.”
Becker was deported from England after being released.
“I was very comfortable. I had a lot of money. Nobody told me ‘no’ – everything was possible. Gez, this is a disaster recipe,” he said.
“So you get accountable for your actions, this is very important because you can’t look again. You can’t change the past. You can just change the future because you live today.”
