Twenty injured in Yemen drone attack on Israel, rescuers and military say
BBCSavior, after saying that the Israeli army was launched from Yemen, 20 people were injured in Southern Israel.
Israeli Defense Forces said that the drone hit the town of Eilat on the Red Sea coast and made attempts to stop it.
Magen David Adom Emergency Medical Service said that 20 people were taken to Yoseftal Hospital – with the serious limb injury.
The Israeli media defined this as a Houthi strike, but the Yemen group did not officially demand responsibility.
Israeli TV stations, drone strikes and live images that are said to be in the area, which shows that the smoke rises from the site.
If the attack is claimed by Houthis, it will be one of the most serious ones in terms of losses by the group.
In July 2024, when a drone hit an apartment building near the US Embassy Branch Office, a person was killed and 10 injured in a Houthi drone attack on Tel Aviv.
