India condemned 50% tariff as a discriminatory
The new Delhi sharply condemned Washington’s movement by calling the tariff structure unfair and discriminatory. Indian officials argue that the country has been chosen, even if European countries continue to import Russian energy on large volumes. They emphasized that Europe’s trade with Russia was 67.5 billion euros in 2024 and 17.2 billion euros in 2023 despite the ongoing conflicts. India, despite its significant commercial relations with Moscow, underlines a double standard, as the punishment steps equivalent to European countries are not guided.
