Trump fires US attorney who told border agents to follow law on immigration raids | US immigration
Donald Trump fired a senior federal prosecutor in Sacramento just a few hours after warning immigrant agents. Reviewed by New York Times.
Michele Beckwith, an acting US lawyer in Sacramento in January, received an e -mail on July 15 at 16:00 on July 15.
The day before, Beckwith received a phone from Gregory Bovino, a border patrol unit in El Centro, a border city 600 miles south of Sacramento. Bovino was planning an immigrant raid in Sacramento, and he asked Beckwith to communicate if his officers were attacked in his office.
According to a federal court decision published in April in north of Bakersfield, agents did not allow the agency to prevent people from detainees without reasonable suspicion. The US Supreme Court overthrew a similar court decision published in Los Angeles at the beginning of this month.

In a statement to the New York Times, BOVİNO said, “The US lawyer’s deputy shows that the US border patrol does not always comply with the constitution and shows that it has created a prejudice against law enforcement officers,” he said. “The decision of the Supreme Court is proof that the border patrol follows the constitution and the fourth change.”
On September 8, the Supreme Court decided that federal migratory agents could stop people only based on their races, languages or work, and that a Los Angeles judge may disrupt the decision of a Los Angeles judge who ordered to stop sweeping raids to immigration agents.
Beckwith’s fire is one of a series of federal fire, including prosecutors who do not obey the President’s agenda. Last week, US lawyer Erik Siebert resigned under intense pressure and Trump replaced the Chief Public Prosecutor Pam Bondi in a deleted social media mail with his private assistant Lindsey Halligan.
Siebert was supervising investigations into Letitia James and James Comey. According to Times, Beckwith objected to the termination.
