Prince Andrew decision will have been stressful for King, says friend | News
King Charles’ friend says stripping Andrew of the title of “prince” would be a “stressful” decision for the monarch.
Jonathan Dimbleby, the king’s friend and biographer, said: “If this wasn’t stressful, he was a human being, nothing would be stressful.” BBC Radio 4 on Friday 31 October.
“He’s being treated for cancer, that’s stressful enough,” he added.
Prince Andrew has been stripped of his titles and evicted from the royal residence following mounting pressure to have him expelled from the lodge over his links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and allegations from Epstein victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre.
In the statement made by Buckingham Palace, the following statements were made: “These condemnations are deemed necessary despite the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.
“Her Majesty wishes to make it clear that her thoughts and utmost sympathies remain with the victims and survivors of all forms of abuse.”
