‘No to Digital ID’ protest held near Labour Party conference | News

The protesters opposed a new national digital identity card plans on Sunday, September 28, apart from the Labor Party Conference in Liverpool.
The demonstrators read the banners “No to Digital Identity ”, because they warned that the plan could lead to surveillance and exclusion of vulnerable groups. Protest remained peaceful at the police clock.
The protest comes days after Sir Keir Starmer announced the suggestions for a new “Britcard” digital identity system.
Recently, a separate demonstration was held against the ban on Palestinian action.
