Labour council ‘sorry’ after painting bus stop directly in front of someone’s driveway | UK | News

A Council led by Labour apologized after a bus stop was painted just outside a couple’s driving. Christopher Harris and Michelle Smith, the Bedda in Southern Wales, said that one day they returned home from work one day to find the newly created bus stop just outside their homes in Beddau, and they block them from accessing the square sidewalks. Even a bus stop sign was erected on one of his fences and stunned them.
The couple said that they are aware of the offers for a bus stop on the streets, but they are under the impression that they will be on the road, not just outside the doors. Since the bus stop appeared, Mr. Harris said that they have lost their previously available parking spaces and that the buses have regularly stopped outside their house and stopped at idle and stopped in the crowd of great school children gathered just in front of the house every day.
Mr. Harris explained before Walesonline When they confronted one of the bus drivers, they acknowledged that the stop should not be placed there. If the buses continue to block the car road, he warned that there will be no other option to block the bus stop.
Mr. Harris said: “When I saw the plans, he had to be on the road, so I didn’t attract any attention. But there were parking places outside our house and now we lost these areas.
“This was not in any consultation. They never said the stop would be there.
“The shipment put it in the fence and the bus stop is literally at the end of my driver. The buses are told to stand on a fallen sidewalk that I am not legal.”
“There is a lot of information on Google that why a bus stop should not be placed on a fallen sidewalk. I can’t believe it was placed there.
“Bus stops moved to meet the school children. So I could know how many children have smiled in my doors every day. What happens when I open my doors and try to take off my car in the morning?”
About a month later, the Council apologized to the couple and confirmed that they would remove the bus stop.
Mr Harris said: “I just got an apologize e -mail, and a few parking slots and traffic calming bunch, saying that he would be taken and return to what happened before.
Rhonda Cynon Taf District Council Spokesperson said: “We sincerely apologize to the affected household people. After examining the process, we found that it did not meet the standards expected from us during the consultation period.
“As a result, bus stops will be removed from the highway.”
