Cough syrup linked to deaths of two children in Rajasthan; 22 batches of the drug banned

A generic cough syrup given to the Rajasthan government was linked to the deaths of two children and others in the state for the last two weeks, and the authorities asked the authorities to ban 22 group drugs and order investigation.
Syrup was distributed through state health centers.

Meanwhile, a senior doctor who consumed syrup to prove his safety was reported to fall unconsciously. Dr. Tarachand Yogi, responsible for the Mrs. Community Health Center, received a dose in front of worried parents on September 24th. Eight hours later he was found unconscious in his car.
Doctors confirmed that eight children aged one to five years after consuming syrup last week were ill in the Banswara region.
Following the deaths, the Rajasthan Government banned 22 syrup groups and ordered the immediate remembrance of the existing stock.
“Doctors were asked to stop prescribing syrup. 22 examples from the party were tested and the materials coming from Kayson Pharma were stopped.” He said.
Authorities, over 1.33 syrup bottles have been distributed in the state since July.
Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Hospital remains at least 8,200 bottles of stock, but the authorities should not be given to patients, he said.
Rajasthan Health Department ordered an investigation.
