International Book of Records Honours Karnataka’s Shakti Scheme for 500 Cr Free Rides

Bengaluru:After passing the 500 Crore free bus ticket for women at four transport companies under the state government, it launched the ‘Shakti’ program from 11 June 2023 to 16 July 2025.

The ‘Shakti’ scheme offers women/girls/transsexuals to travel free of charge on state buses. Previously, the ‘Shakti’ scheme was listed in the Golden World Records Book for the 500th Crore free bus ticket for women.

Upon the last recognition of the ‘Shakti’ plan, the Minister of Transportation Ramalinga Redy, the scheme “Karnataka State Highway Transport Company, Kalyana Karnya State Road Transportation Company, Kalyana State Road Transportation Company, Bengaluru Metropolitan Transportation Companies and North Western Highway Companies, a great success of the North Western Highway.

Redy is a witness to the success of the ‘Shakti’ plan to strengthen women in the state economically, socially and professionally and to the success of the country’s application to different states. ”
