Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan filed a lawsuit against YouTube and its parent company Google and demanded compensation for RS 4 Crore. The legal procedure follows the circulation of the couple’s Deepfake videos produced by artificial intelligence on the platform and comes after a new Supreme Court of Delhi, which aims to protect their personal rights.
The legal petition filed on September 6 wants to abolish and permanently prohibit videos that violate intellectual property rights. According to the legal documents examined by Reuters, the case is particularly aimed at the content that makes it “brutal” and “sexually open”. Bachchans claims that Youtube should take measures to prevent AI from abuse the names, sounds or images.

In their petitions, Abhishwary and Aishwarya increased the risk of using such content in AI model training, which may increase the spread of violating videos. “This type of content used to train AI models has the potential to reproduce the use of usage examples – first uploaded to YouTube and then exploited for AI training.”
