US archivist ousted after refusing to let Trump give Eisenhower’s sword to King Charles – reports | Trump administration

According to the US media reports on Thursday, the director of the Eisenhower Presidential Library, after defending a sword to King Charles from the collection, was released.

Todd Arrington left his post on Monday after he told CBS News to “resign or firing öz, who did not specify who transferred the message to the historian.

Former US President Dwight d eisenhower’s Abilene is a part of the library and museum in his hometown in Kansas (Nara).

Arrington is allegedly resisted a demand for one of the swords of Eisenhower from Trump to Charles and to symbolize the US-UK relationship and emphasize the cooperation of the two countries in the Second World War.

Before he became president in 1953, Eisenhower led the Allied forces against Nazi Germany.

The Trump administration ultimately gave Charles a copy sword donated by the Army Academy, where Eisenhower began his military career.

The New York Times reported that Arrington’s task may be related to discussions on plans to build a new training center at the Eisenhower Library.

After rejecting President Trump’s request to give King Charles a original sword to Dwight d eisenhower during his visit to England, he was removed from his position as a presidential library director.

Speaking Daily Mail on ThursdayArrington said he was trying to get his job back.

“I am very sad and sorry, and frankly, I have been ruined, and I tried to reach higher levels in national archives to say that I will do whatever it takes to reverse it,” he said.

The White House did not respond immediately to AFP News Agency’s request for comments.

Arrington’s resignation in the federal government, which has lasted for decades, has been coming because Trump has claimed an unprecedented control over US cultural institutions since Trump returned to office in January. He seized his own allies, traditionally carried out mass fires of non -partisan or two -party boards.
