Sarah Mullally becomes first ever female Archbishop of Canterbury

Dame Sarah Mullally told the joy of making history as the first woman called Canterbury Archbishop, while paying tribute to those who are currently led to.
The former British chief nursing officer said that as the first woman who was the best bishop in the Church of England because of the “deep harm and insecurity heritage”, it existed after the preservation of the past.
Dame Sarah is a Canterbury-Design Archbishop before a legal ceremony that will confirm its position as the best bishop of the church.
Canterbury’s 106th Archbishop remained empty for almost a year after Justin Welby announced that Justin Welby had resigned after failures in handling the abuse scandal.
Dame Sarah at the address at the Canterbury Cathedral said, “Today it was said that this would be a historical moment and a cheerful moment for many.

“Whatever the tradition, I think of being a shepherd that makes everyone’s ministry and profession development.
“Today, thank you for all men and women, I would like to thank the deans, priests and bishops who have been and assigned to all the women who paved the way for this moment and go before me – for your support and inspiration.”
Sir Keir Starmer welcomed the appointment: “The Church of England is deeply important for this country. Churches, cathedrals, schools and charities are part of the texture of our communities.
“Canterbury Archbishop will play a key role in our national life. I wish him every success and look forward to working together.”
Lord Evans, the President of the Crown Candidate Commission Weardale for Canterbury, said that he would pray for the Bishop Sarah while preparing to receive this new ministry in the coming months ”.
Dame Sarah is the former head nurse of the government of the government and became the youngest of the role specialized as a cancer nurse.
He studied at the South Eastern Theological Education Institute, who was studying at the University of South Bank and Heythrop College of London, London. Currently London bishop.

In 2023, after a vote to confirm the blessings, he described the result as ı the moment of hope for the church ,, but accepted that there were differences of opinion.
He said: “As a way, I know that what we recommend is not going forward enough for many people, and for others too far.”
The appointment comes after almost a year of waiting, as Justin Welby announced that he will resign from a protective scandal.
Last November, the church announced that the victims of the church would be separated from failures after a damn machine examination that influenced him in his failure to protect the serial abuse John Smyth.
The investigation concluded that Smyth might have been brought to justice if the Archbishop was officially warned in 2013.
In a job description published by the Canterbury bishop earlier this year, the person who filled the role should be the leader of a servant leader who shows compassion to those who have been disadvantaged and marginalized.
York Archbishop Stephen Cottrell temporarily undertook most of the responsibilities and was one of the voting members of the body accused of choosing Mr. Welby’s successor.
Health Secretary Wes Streeting also welcomed Dame Sarah’s appointment and called the “Canterbury Archbishop”.
