Banks disburse ₹6,957 crore as loan in Q1 in Alappuzha

Banks in the Alappuzha Region used 6,957 Crore in loans in the first quarter of the 2025-26 financial year. The data was recently published at a meeting of the Regional Level Banking Committee (DLBC).
Banks set a loan target of 25,000 Crore for the financial year. The meeting observed that banks reached 27.83% of the target between April and June.
General deposits in banks throughout the region reached 54,948 Crore, while the progress was made as 30,988 Crube. The credit-deposito ratio in the region was 56% during the period. A total of 4,598 CRORE, which constitutes 28.24% of the annual target, was distributed as a loan to the priority sector.
Farm Loans
During the period, 56.03 Crore was achieved as a training loan over 1,006 account. 275.27 housing loans in the amount of Crore were distributed to 3,866 beneficiaries. Banks published 193.03 Crore to the 16,550 utility under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. A total of 2,723 Crore was extended as farm loans with 23% of the annual target.
Between April and June, banks obtained 27.05% of the annual target and used 2,358 Crore to the non -priority sector. 1,186 self -aid group ₹ 102.45 Crore was given. Another 1,689 Crore was published in the industrial sector with 45.34% of the annual target.
The meeting was opened by the regional collector Alex Varghese. Deputy Police Director Santhosh and Inspector Elias P. George Cyberge Siber Safety.
The Indian State Bank Regional Director Sujith SR, Indian Reserve Bank Leading Regional Officer Manikandan, Chief Bank Manager M. Arun, National Agriculture and Rural Development Bank (NABARD) Regional Development Manager Minu Anvar and Chief Bank Deputy Director Lalithambika attended the meeting.
