Rohit Sharma buys Tesla Model Y with special number plate ‘3015’; Check price and its meaning

Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Rohit Sharma, recently purchased a Tesla Model Y electric SUV, adding to his impressive collection that already includes the luxurious orange Lamborghini Urus SE. Wearing a black T-shirt, the Indian cricketer was seen driving his new electric SUV from the American EV manufacturer on the busy streets of Mumbai.

Tesla offers the Model Y in India in two variants: Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive. The Rear-Wheel Drive version is priced at Rs 59.89 lakh while the Long Range version is priced at Rs 67.89 lakh (both prices ex-showroom), positioning this electric SUV among the most expensive top-end EVs in India.

What Makes It Unique?

Rohit Sharma’s Tesla Model Y is equipped with a personalized number plate, similar to the Lamborghini Urus SE – 3015 – indicates their children’s birth dates (Daughter’s DOB: December 30, Son’s DOB: November 15) and jersey number (45). Apart from this, the SUV maintains a clean look with no additional customizations or enhancements. Apart from the Lamborghini Urus SE, the Indian cricketer also has a BMW M5 (F1 Edition), a Mercedes-Benz GLS 400d and a Toyota Fortuner in his garage.

Tesla Model Y Technical Specifications: Range and Battery

The base version of the Model Y offers a range of 500 km with a 60 kWh battery claimed by WLTP, while the Long Range variant has a range of 622 km (WLTP) with a 78.1 kWh battery pack. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a claimed 5.6 seconds and its maximum speed is limited to 201 km/h.
