A dramatic video shows Zohran Mamdani being chased from a New York City square after an angry protester accused him of antisemitism and demanded that he reject Hezbollah and Sharia law.

As security agents guided him toward a waiting vehicle in the square, a man approached and shouted, “Condemn Hezbollah! Condemn Sharia law!” he shouts.

Protesters can be heard calling Mamdani “anti-Semitic” and refusing to back down as she pursues him.
When Mamdani’s security intervenes, he creates a protective barrier and puts her in a car, which then drives out of the square. A protester holding a flag is seen pushing what appears to be another security team member near the vehicle.
Mamdani was speaking in Foley Square this week to show solidarity with New York Attorney General Letitia James, who faces allegations of mortgage fraud related to a property she owns in Virginia.
Mamdani was repeatedly pushed to disavow Hezbollah and condemn slogans such as “Globalize the Intifada.”

Appearing on “Meet the Press” in June 2025, Mamdani refused to do so outright, saying police language was not the duty of a public official, but confirmed that he was against inciting violence and antisemitism.
On Tuesday, Mamdani evaluated the terrorist attacks in Israel on October 7, 2023, and made a statement in memory of the Israeli victims and hostages still held by Hamas.
“Two years ago today, Hamas committed a horrific war crime by killing more than 1,100 Israelis and kidnapping more than 250. I mourn these lives and pray for the safe return of every hostage still held and every family whose lives have been torn apart by this persecution,” Mamdani said. he said.
“The death toll has now far exceeded 67,000 as the Israeli army bombed homes, hospitals and schools into rubble,” Mamdani said.

Mamdani’s statement saw the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs (IFM) republish it on X, where it accused him of “acting as a mouthpiece of Hamas propaganda”.

“By repeating Hamas’ lies, he excuses terrorism and normalizes anti-Semitism. He only stands up for Jews when they are dead. It’s shameful,” IFM said in the post.
Mamdani’s press office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
