PAV expresses concern over suspension of services in A.P. private network hospitals

Praja Arogya Vedika (PAV), the public health forum dedicated to providing accessible healthcare for all, on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at private network hospitals, Dr. He expressed concern over suspension of services under NTR Vaidya Seva scheme and urged the State government to take immediate steps for restoration of these services.

Following the Andhra Pradesh Private Hospitals Association (ASHA) decision, many private network hospitals in the state have stopped providing services to people under the scheme due to pending dues from the government.

In a letter, PAV members said the outage had severely impacted patients, particularly those with pre-planned procedures and planned surgeries, causing significant hardship and potential health risks. Members said ASHA’s demands were real.

PAV urges the State government to provide Dr. He urged to ensure speedy restoration of NTR Vaidya Seva programme. To address and resolve underlying concerns, PAV brought together health department representatives, Dr. He said that a meeting should be held between NTR Vaidya Seva Trust and ASHA and civil society groups.
