Tata Group age retirement policy no bar, N Chandrasekaran gets third term as Chairman

Tata Sons board has approved third term for Chairman N Chandrasekaran, according to a report by Economic Times quoting sources; This is a first despite the Group’s retirement policy requiring executives to resign at age 65.
Livemint was unable to independently confirm the development.
According to the report, Chandrasekaran’s second term will end in February 2027. He will be 65 years old on that date.
According to Tata Group’s retirement policy, traditionally executives are expected to retire at the age of 65, but are allowed to take on non-executive roles until the age of 70.
