Private numbers of Australian PM and Donald Trump Jr listed on website

The private phone numbers of several high-profile figures, including the Australian Prime Minister and Donald Trump Jr., have been published on a US website.
Both of their personal contact details are listed publicly on the site, which uses artificial intelligence to collect information on the internet and which the BBC has chosen not to name.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s office is aware of the situation, which was first reported by independent Australian media outlet Ette Media, and local authorities are investigating.
A spokesperson for Australian opposition leader Sussan Ley, whose private number was also published, said that the issue was “clearly concerning” and that they requested the information be removed.
The site claims to have contact information for hundreds of millions of professionals and is used by recruiters and sales representatives.
The BBC confirmed that this number included a current private number belonging to Albanese and Donald Trump Jr.’s personal contact; but it’s unclear whether Donald Trump Jr. still uses this trick.
It’s also unclear how the site obtained the information, but Australia has suffered a number of major data breaches in recent years.
Users can search a limited number of people in the database for free or sign up for a paid service.
According to its website, the site collects publicly available information, including filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, but also uses artificial intelligence to collect data from social media networks, other website browsers, and job portals.
