Noted Kannada actor and comedian Raju Talikote dies of heart attack at 62

Raju Talikote’s last rites will be performed today at his hometown Chikka Sindagi in Sindagi taluk in Vijayapura district. Talikote, known for his comic roles in theaters and films of North Karnataka, has appeared in productions like Kaliyugada Kuduka.
Well-known theater artist and comedian Raju Talikote died of heart attack at a private hospital in Manipal in Udupi district on Monday, sources close to his family said. He was 62 years old. Talikote, who went to Udupi for a movie shoot, had a heart attack on Sunday night and was hospitalized, where he died the next evening.
His last rites will be performed today at his hometown Chikka Sindagi in Sindagi taluk in Vijayapura district. Talikote, known for his comic roles in theaters and films of North Karnataka, has appeared in productions like Kaliyugada Kuduka.
Expressing his grief, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said in a post on X: “The demise of Raju Talikote, who starred in several Kannada films and gained popularity, is a loss for the Kannada film industry.”
