Ukraine loses F-16 fighter jet and pilot in overnight Russian attacks
The Ukrainian Air Force reported early on Sunday, a Ukrainian pilot was killed when the F-16 fighter was shot against Russian attacks.
The Air Force statement said that the pilot, a lieutenant colonel, did his best to remove his tight plane from the settlement areas, but could not be removed in time.
The pilot, born in 1993, reportedly dropped seven targets before being shot.
“Unfortunately, we have experienced another painful loss.” He said.
According to the report, Russia launched more than 500 drones, missiles and cruise missiles in the Ukrainian region on one night and seriously damaged injuries and civil infrastructure.
The loss of pilots trained on the US F-16 fighter aircraft in the West is seen for Ukraine. The losses caused by F-16 fleets are relatively rare to date.
Ukraine has been preventing Russia from full -scale invasion since February 2022.
