Two boys are accused of raping and attempting to murder a five-year-old girl.
The teenager was left completely ‘unrecognisable’ after a gang of bullies not only beat him but also scalped him in Cleveland, Ohio, last month, his mother previously said.
The Cuyahoga County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday that a ten-year-old girl and a nine-year-old boy were hit with several charges, including four counts of rape.
The unidentified juveniles also face one count of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, one count of kidnapping and one count of strangulation.
“Given the sensitive nature of this case, we decline to release any additional details and comment further,” the prosecutor’s office said. he said.
The girl’s mother described the moment she saw her daughter after the ordeal.
‘What I saw was incredible,’ the girl’s mother told Cleveland 19. ‘My daughter was not my daughter. His hair was combed from his head. There were bruises and blood all over his body.
‘His eyes were filled with blood. His lips and mouth were filled with blood. ‘There was dirt and grime stuck in his nails.’

The mother said her daughter suffered not only physical but also emotional and mental trauma, both of which caused her to seek therapy.
“I want him to be like a normal five-year-old again,” he told the media.
She also claimed her daughter had ‘behavioral problems’ as a result of the attack.
‘His mental state is not good,’ he said. ‘Not being able to get justice for my daughter makes me feel like I’ve let her down.’
‘I can’t sleep. I can barely eat. “I see images of my baby in that area all the time,” he continued.
‘He’s only five years old and these terrible things happened to him. Please help, please treat this as if it were your own child.
‘This is not gossip. This is not a funny matter. This is not something to be taken seriously.’
