Washington DC: US ​​President Donald Trump has warned Hamas that if the group continues to attack civilians in Gaza, America “will have no choice but to go in and kill them”.

Trump’s remarks came in a Truth Social post that quickly went viral. “If Hamas continues to kill people in Gaza, which was not the agreement, we will have no choice but to go in there and kill them,” he wrote.

The statement followed Trump’s previous statements in the Oval Office, in which he described the recovery of bodies in Gaza and the slow progress of a peace agreement. “It’s a scary process. They dig and find lots of bodies. Then they have to separate the bodies,” he said.

Trump painted a disturbing picture of what U.S. and allied teams witnessed on the ground. “Some of the bodies have been there for a long time, some are under rubble. They have to remove the rubble. Some of them are in tunnels… they are deep underground,” he said.

When it came to the gun issue, his tone became harsher. He said Hamas should abide by the terms of the US-brokered peace deal and hand over its arsenal. “We want the weapons to be given. They agreed to do it. Now they have to do it. If they don’t do it, we will do it,” he told reporters.

The president’s warning left no room for comment. “They will disarm because they said they would. If they don’t disarm, we will disarm them,” he said, adding bluntly: “They know I’m not playing games.”

The remarks came during a working dinner with Argentine President Javier Milei, shortly after Washington announced a $20 billion financial aid package to stabilize Argentina’s economy.

For Trump, the message was both political and military. The war in Gaza, once seen as a regional flashpoint, is now pulling Washington back into the heart of Middle East conflict management. His warning to “kill Hamas” signals that patience is running out in the White House and that the peace deal he brokered may soon be based on force, not words.
