Earlier this month, police accused two people of illegally operating drones over Rogers Centre during Blue Jays playoff games against the New York Yankees on back-to-back days.
Cops said, during games last Sunday and Monday, the Emergency Management and Public Order Unit used specialized drone detection technology to identify and intercept seven unauthorized flights over and around Rogers Centre, citing Canadian Aviation Regulations.

Fines were also issued for violating the federally designated no-fly zone, police said, as well as other legislation directly related to drone operations at advertised events.
Police have not released the names of the individuals charged and fined.
“The Toronto Police Service is reminding the public to leave your drone at home! Rogers Centre is a no-drone zone during all Blue Jays postseason games,” they said.
Cops reminded the public that all drone operators are responsible for knowing and following federal aviation rules and regulations and directed them to Transport Canada’s website.
