Mother, Son Killed as Water Tank Collapses in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: What was supposed to be a joyful incident turned tragic in Chityal mandal’s Peddakaparthi village on Saturday night. A mother and her son lost their lives when the water tank installed on the roof of a new asbestos-roofed hotel collapsed due to excess weight.

The family had made the necessary arrangements for the opening of the hotel when the accident occurred. The deceased were identified as P. Nagamani (32) and his son Vamsi Krishna (6). Two people were injured in the incident and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
