Just as the party started, about 500 protesters organized a noisy march in the streets of Venice, condemned the extravagance of the wedding festivals and criticized Mr. Bezos’s political support to Donald Trump.
Under the slogan for Bezos, they started colored smoke cartridges and played loud music as they walked to the famous Rialto Bridge, which covers large channels that were not far from the Aman Hotel, where most of the wedding couple and guests remained.

They carried the banners that wrote “Rich Yete” and “You can rebuild Gaza with the money spent on this wedding”. A banner claimed that Amazon’s popularity led to the closure of 118,000 shops in Italy.
They said that the wedding, which was estimated to cost $ 50 million, was a symbol of the gradual descent of Venice to the subjugation of tourism and a kind of inheritance with a constantly shining population to be Disneyland.

Activists said that Mr. Bezos was not welcome, many Venetian did not participate.
Hoteliers, restaurant owners and Gondolas were among those who insisted that the event brought great economic benefits to the World Heritage City.
“This caliber was a great success for Venice, who had to continue to host the activities of this caliber, Antonio said Antonio Onorato, a member of the Venice Hoteliers Association.
