HYDE Hotel Perth: First look at boutique CBD hotel featuring DJ sets, artists, wellness sessions

Los Angeles, London, Dubai and now Perth: our CBD is set to become the newest home of the “electric” HYDE Hotel chain next year.

The “lifestyle” branded hotel, which emerged from Los Angeles’ 2000s club scene, will open its first purpose-built base location on Pier Street in March 2026.

According to HYDE, the Hotel will not just offer a place to stay as a nod to its “culturally attuned” brand. DJ residencies, wellness sessions and creative takeovers will be a regular event, alongside local artists, producers and musicians.

HYDE Perth general manager Rhys Challenger says the hotel’s “experiential” concept is a first for WA and will expand the city’s “cultural fabric” with its wide-ranging amenities.

“Perth’s growing culture and hospitality scene made it the natural home for HYDE’s first purpose-built Australian hotel,” Mr Challenger said.

“HYDE Perth brings something new to the city.

“It complements what is already here but offers something completely different – a five-star experience that blends lifestyle, music and culture, giving Perth something it hasn’t experienced before.”

The accommodation itself is inspired by the “coastal European spirit” with textured plaster, local wood and hand-crafted stone, complemented by custom-designed furniture to ensure each room feels “singular” and “connected to place” rather than on-trend.

The hotel will also be home to FARRA, a “Greek-inspired dining concept” featuring Mediterranean-inspired WA produce, and an open-plan hotel layout will feature “sensory-rich” communal spaces that will “blur the boundaries between hospitality and social.”
