Travel chaos at Brit holiday hotspot after mystery drone spotted – fli | World | News

Flights are currently being diverted to Majorca Airport after a mysterious drone was detected. Passengers were forced to look at the departure chart with delays as flights were unable to take off or land for a period of time after 6pm UK time. Many planes had to be diverted to other airports.

FlightRadar24 reported: “Operations at Palma de Mallorca Airport are currently suspended due to a drone in the airspace.

“The final landing took place at 18:58 local time (17:58 UK time).

“A few flights are being diverted to other airports.”

A flight from Gatwick was listed as delayed, suggesting that the landing may have been delayed. It was reported that the planes were able to land safely again around 18.30 UK time.
