They Call Him OG, or simply OG, an action crime drama starring Pawan Kalyan as the dreaded gangster Ojas Gambheera aka Master Orochi Genshin OG, was released in theaters worldwide on September 25. The Telugu film also featured Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, Prakash Raj, Abhimanyu Singh, Sudev Nair and Harish Uthaman.
Written and directed by Sujeeth, They Call Him OG broke the record for the biggest opening day in India in 2025 by grossing Rs 155 billion worldwide on its first day of release. The Pawan Kalyan film grossed Rs 190 Million nett in India and Rs 294 Million worldwide throughout its entire theatrical run, becoming the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2025 and the eighth highest-grossing Indian film of 2025. 2025.
A month after its release, They Call Him OG is gearing up for its OTT premiere on Netflix on October 23. The streaming giant took to its social media accounts, shared the announcement poster and wrote: “Once upon a time, there was a storm in Mumbai. And now it’s back. Releases in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on Netflix on October 23.”

The film was initially set to release on September 27, 2024, but was postponed indefinitely due to delays in production and Kalyan’s political campaign after becoming the 11th Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in June 2024. OG was financed by DVV Danayya under the banner DVV Entertainment.
