According to Inrix, “serious delays” remain as anti-clockwise recovery efforts are completed on the M25 near J7 (M23) after an earlier crash.

In an update just after 3.30pm, Inrix said: “There are serious delays and one lane is closed and the entrance road is partially blocked due to rescue work, emergency road surface repairs, an oil spill and an earlier crash on the M25 anti-clockwise after J7 (M23 Junction).”

“There is traffic congestion at J9 (Leatherhead) and the northbound turn onto the M23. There are also delays at Reigate and South Godstone as traffic seeks alternatives. Lane one (one of four lanes) remains closed and access slippage is restricted. Clearance and repair work is currently ongoing.”
