We spoke with legal analyst Steven Clark.
“The question is, how did this serial sex predator go undetected for so long? How do we have so many victims in this case?” Clark said. he said.
Prosecutors accuse Orla of sexually assaulting at least 19 local men, according to court documents.
“The fact that he is HIV positive may increase the number of actual crimes he commits if his victims are HIV positive. This would be considered great bodily injury,” Clark said.
Orla is due in court on Monday on 43 counts of aggravated sexual assault.
