British tourist dies after 20ft fall from Lanzarote hotel balcony | Spain

A British tourist died after falling 20 meters from his hotel balcony in the Canary Islands.
Another Brit has been seriously injured after a balcony railing broke in the Lanzarote resort town of Costa Teguise.
The Spanish civil guard launched an investigation into the maintenance of the railings and the security of the hotel.
It is not yet confirmed whether the two holidaymakers are friends or relatives. The name of the hotel has not been announced yet.
The crash occurred early Saturday morning. According to local media reports, two men, aged 56 and 54, fell from a height when the railings collapsed.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene after a fatal fall was reported at around 01.30.
The 56-year-old man died instantly, while the other was taken to the intensive care unit of Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital and remained in critical condition.
