Four women demolish £300 worth of steak and cocktails – walk out without paying | UK | News

A group of four young women gobbled up £300 worth of steaks and cocktails before brazenly leaving without paying the bill. Cheers Restaurant, which opened in Norwich this January following the success of its existing venues in Thetford and Bury St Edmunds, has been left broke after the incident.
Four women fled Cheers in Norwich after finishing steaks and shots of Baileys shortly after 6pm on October 5. The receipt, shared with The Sun, showed the women poured over £130 worth of steak and drank 11 shots of Baileys, amounting to £71.50.
Restaurant owner Andrea Marinho told The Sun: “They need to be responsible because this can’t go on like this. We have a lot to do every day. “We’re new in Norwich.
“We opened in January, so it’s still new. We’re still trying to bring people in. The first few months are always tough. There’s always a lot going on, and then things like this happen. It’s frustrating and really sad. What kind of model are they for their kids?”
A spokesman for Norfolk Police said: “Police are releasing CCTV images of four women they would like to speak to in relation to a burglary.
“The incident occurred at 18.10 on October 5, when a group of women entered a restaurant on Surrey Street, Norwich, and did not pay for their meals before leaving.
“Anyone who recognizes the people featured in the footage or has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Norfolk Police via any of the channels below, quoting reference 36/72063/25.”
The steakhouse describes itself as “a different dining concept” and a “unique style restaurant.”
Their website says: “Cheers’ goal is to ensure every guest has a wonderful and exciting experience and to provide quality food.
“The perfect place for almost any occasion, providing you with excellent service with professional and friendly customer service, making the experience unforgettable.”
