Hollywood Producer Gets 146 Years to Life in Prison for Fatally Drugging Model and Her Friend, Sexually Assaulting Others

A Hollywood producer convicted earlier this year of fatally drugging a model and her friend in 2021 was sentenced to 146 years to life in state prison on Wednesday, October 29, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to PEOPLE.

According to prosecutors, Pearce met Giles and Cabrales-Arzola at a warehouse party in East Los Angeles around 3 a.m. on Nov. 13, 2021. About two hours later, the women escorted Pearce and others to his apartment in Beverly Hills, where Pearce provided the victims with GHB and fentanyl.

Prosecutors said Cabrales-Arzola called the rideshare service within 35 minutes of arriving at Pearce’s apartment but never participated in the rideshare.

Hours later, Pearce and his roommate, actor Brandt Osborn, dropped the two women off in front of separate hospitals, according to police.

Giles was found dead from a mixture of cocaine, fentanyl, ketamine and GHB outside a hospital in Culver City.

“I was told, ‘I’m so sorry to inform you, Ms. Giles’… But it was kind of left outside our hospital like a garbage bag,” said her mother, Leslie Giles. CBS 48 Hours. “And, umm… ‘He didn’t make it.’… And I said, ‘What do you mean he didn’t make it?’ I said,” and added that he was told it was a police matter before hanging up and “dispersing.”

Cabrales-Arzola was found unconscious outside Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center, according to police. He was taken off life support after suffering multiple organ failure due to cocaine, ecstasy and other unspecified drugs found in his system, according to KNX News.

A judge granted a mistrial for Osborn, who was charged with two counts of accessory after the fact. ABC7 reported. He is currently awaiting a possible retrial, according to the outlet.
