Two Women Hurt As Farmers Jostle For Soya Tokens

ADILABAD: A fight broke out between farmers waiting in long queues to sell their soya crops in Kubheer mandal of Nirmal district on Saturday.

Farmers had gathered at purchasing centers set up in Kubheer and Tanoor mandals to buy soya. In the rush to collect tokens, two women farmers waiting in the queue at Kubheer fell down and suffered minor injuries.

Distressed farmers, whose soybean crops have been drenched in recent rains, are eager to sell their produce and bring it to supply centers for immediate sale.
