Bohemian fantasy artist Governor Myers He was ‘a unique soul born of time’. (Photo, circa 1995.)
Like described By Governor Myers Art Gallery Foundation:
Governor Myers was a unique soul born out of time. She lived her remarkable life like a bright flame, forging her own path and living on her own terms: a tightrope walker; He has one foot in this world and one foot in a dream world that we can only see in his profound works of art.
Artist, dancer, muse and powerful creator, Vali left a body of work that began with his first drawings in Paris cafes in 1950 and extends until his death in 2003.
Myers returned to Australia in 1993 and lived there for ten years before passing away in Melbourne at the age of 72.
