Marjorie Taylor Greene tells Bill Maher she believes extraterrestrials are demons | Marjorie Taylor Greene

Republican U.S. House member Marjorie Taylor Greene said she believed in demons and speculated they might be aliens who had fallen from heaven, and claimed she was unaware that key figures in the anti-Semitic space laser conspiracy she uncovered were Jews.
As a guest on HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher on Friday, he made the outlandish comments after winning some fans among Democrats who once hated him — but the far-right has come to appreciate how the Georgia representative has broken with Republicans on a variety of issues lately. These include health care, Gaza, the federal government shutdown that began Oct. 1 and the handling of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who befriended Donald Trump before he won two presidencies.
Greene’s appearance on Maher’s show perhaps made clear the ideological distance between the congresswoman, who has conspicuously avoided criticizing Trump directly, and her new cross-aisle admirers.
On Friday, Maher asked another of his on-air guests, filmmaker Dan Farah, to discuss his new documentary, The Age of Disclose, and how he’s investigating the way some top U.S. military officials have seriously theorized that “demons” may be responsible for what some colloquially refer to as unidentified flying objects, or UFOs.
The Real Time host, who is generally considered to be left-wing, then asked those on the show: “Do you think demons and the devil are real?”
Greene, who was first elected to Congress in 2020, responded confidently: “Absolutely. I’m a Bible-believing Christian. And I believe these could be fallen angels.”
As Maher replied: “Fallen angels? Aliens fallen angels?” Greene continued: “It’s possible; I think it could happen. That’s what makes sense in my worldview.”
Fifth Column podcast host Michael Moynihan also joined the discussion, and Maher called him out to say whether he agreed with Greene. “No,” Moynihan said. “I am sad.”
At another point in the show, Maher invited Greene to revisit her infamous 2018 social media post that suggested the wildfires ravaging California were sparked by a laser beam from space under the control of the Rothschild banking dynasty.
progressive observer Media Matters He revealed this just weeks into Greene’s first term in Congress. His colleagues also voted to remove him from his House committee positions, as the Rothschild family has been repeatedly subjected to anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.
Greene explained to Maher on Friday that she initially “didn’t even know the Rothschilds were Jewish.”
“Before politics… I [did] Greene said I don’t know much about these things. “I didn’t even say the word ‘Jew’ in the post.”
Maher pointed out that “’Rothschild’ is almost synonymous with the word ‘Jew’ for many people.”
Greene replied: “I had no idea… Now I know he was Jewish.”
Amid laughter and applause, Maher retorted: “That’s right. Now we know… That’s what I’m here for; to make sure the people in Congress know what you’re talking about.”
