China and Russia are sending “sex spies” to the United States to steal the country’s technology and state secrets while engaging in psychological warfare, a former CIA agent says.
J. Michael Waller told Fox News Digital that he’s seen firsthand how America’s greatest adversaries, like China and Russia, use honeypot tactics to steal secrets or compromise politicians as a dirty way to stay ahead of the United States. Waller said that while he was doing work for the CIA in Poland, a 25-year-old Chinese woman approached him and was interested in his work.
After talking to her further, Waller realized she was a spy and reported the woman to Polish authorities, as she was a government employee at the time. Waller said the Polish government “kicked him out of the country within a few days.”
In his personal experience, Waller said that the Chinese spy “already knew my background and even knew things about the event that were not included in my official biography.”

“They take advantage of the fact that people are lonely or just want to have a good time or need companionship or need something else,” Waller said. “They’re doing what’s been done since the Bible. They’re using sex as a weapon.”
Earlier this year, the U.S. government banned employees and staff working in China from having romantic or sexual relationships with Chinese citizens. The policy was implemented by former U.S. Ambassador Nicholas Burns, who implemented the policy before leaving office when President Donald Trump took office in January.
U.S. government personnel who violate the policy will be forced to leave China.

The practice is a form of psychological warfare because “you’re confusing people,” Waller said, adding that China would target professionals such as engineers, programmers, local officials, mayors or other politicians.
“They will go for a very long time with these sexual encounters and develop long-term emotional relationships, at least finding the counterpart, emotionally bonding the target, even to the point of marrying them and having a family with them,” he said. “That’s what they’re trained for.”

“It all starts with love bombing with compliments, selfies, bikini photos,” Roza said. “They act like they’re weak or lonely: ‘My parents were killed, I’m a student, I’m broke.’ It triggers the hero instinct. “Every man wants to feel like a savior.”

The former CIA agent gave some advice to Americans:
“If a super, super hot guy from China is really interested in you and you’re nowhere near that league, he’s a spy,” Waller said.
