3 Held for Killing Auto Driver in Broad Daylight at Jagadgirigutta

Hyderabad: Jagadgirigutta police, in close coordination with the SOT Balanagar team, arrested three persons involved in the brutal murder committed in broad daylight at Jagadgirigutta bus stand on Wednesday.

Influenced by previous enmity, the accused hatched a pre-planned conspiracy and attacked an autorickshaw named Roshan Kumar Singh alias Roshan (22) of Balanagar in a public place, causing his death. The arrested were identified as T. Bala Showreddy alias Badshah, 21, Syed Mahamood, 28, Revo Aditya alias Adil, alias Adi, 26, and all residents of Jagadgirigutta.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Medchal Deputy Commissioner of Police N Koti Reddy said that the prime accused Bala Showreddy, against whom manhandling was done at Jagadgirigutta police station, had a long-standing rivalry with one Shareef.

Roshan, who was also a bully at Balanagar police station, supported Shareef in this competition. Roshan threatened Bala Showreddy that he would end his life if she interfered in Shareef’s affairs, which resulted in deep hatred and hostility in his mind.

In retaliation, Bala Showreddy bought a knife online with the intention of eliminating Roshan. He revealed his plan to his close friends Mahamood and Aditya; They immediately agreed and all hatched criminal conspiracies to eliminate Roshan.

Bala Showreddy called Roshan to Jagadgirigutta bus stand to discuss the matter as per their pre-determined plan. While Bala Showreddy was talking to Roshan, Mahamood grabbed Roshan’s pants from behind.

Meanwhile, Bala Showreddy took out the knife and stabbed him brutally in his chest, abdomen and back, causing severe injuries.

The entire incident took place in broad daylight in a crowded public place, causing panic among the public. After the attack, the suspects fled on a motorcycle. Roshan, who was taken to a private hospital due to serious injuries, was later taken to Gandhi Hospital and died due to the injuries he received during treatment.

Police seized a knife, bloody clothes, a motorcycle and mobile phones belonging to the suspect.
