What is Toto?
Toto was launched in 1968 as the first lottery game in the history of Singapore Pools. The game takes its name from the combination of the words ‘Adder’ and ‘Lotto’.
Toto’s current format sees six winning numbers and one additional number out of 49 numbers (1 to 49) every Monday and Thursday. The jackpot amount starts at $1,000,000.
The snowball feature, which allows the prize to increase when there is no winner, was introduced to the game in 1981. The System Login option, where you can pay to be able to select more numbers, was added later that year.
What is Toto’s reward structure?
Singapore Pools says 54 percent of sales from each draw Toto is added to the prize pool. Your winnings from the pool depend on which prize bracket you fall into after the winning numbers are revealed in the draw.

How big can a Toto prize snowball be?
The Group 1 prize amount will not snowball after the fourth consecutive draw. If there is no Group 1 winner after four consecutive draws, the final jackpot amount (38% of the prize pool of the fourth draw plus the snowball amount from the previous three draws) will gradually increase, meaning it will be paid to the next prize group with the winner(s) and split equally.
The prize amounts for groups 2, 3 and 4 will snowball until they are won.
