Primark issues product recalls for baby items over safety fears

Primark has issued two urgent product recalls after discovering a “safety issue” with baby-related products.
The retailer said in a statement that the clips used to secure a baby’s pacifier to their clothes or stroller were recalled because they “did not meet our usual high safety standards.”
Customers who purchased 2-Piece Pacifier Clips – Teddy Bear (Kimball no. 69489) and 2-Piece Pacifier Clips – Balloon (Kimball no. 80010) are requested to stop using the product “immediately”.
Primark requested that the products be returned to its stores as soon as possible.
The products were available at various locations in Primark stores between March and September this year.
“We have learned that the products do not meet our usual high safety standards,” the retailer said.
“The products do not fully comply with the relevant safety standards specific to pacifier clips.
“Please stop using the product immediately. Please return the product to any of our Primark stores. You do not need to show proof of purchase.”
“We apologize for any inconvenience and concern this may cause,” Primark added.
“Spread the word about this recall, especially if you know the recalled product has been offered, borrowed, or sold to someone else.”
Primark said all returned items will be fully refunded. They requested that customers email help.uk@help.primark.com For more information.
