Kirsty Gallacher reveals her benign brain tumour is ‘growing very fast’ and she ‘doesn’t know if radiotherapy will work’ as she blasts court for showing ‘no empathy’ after driving ban

Kirsty Gallacher shared a striking update about her benign brain tumor while criticizing a judge for ‘showing no empathy’ after she was banned from driving for six months for speeding.
The 49-year-old TV presenter admitted the offense but asked not to be banned so he could continue driving due to family and work commitments, and insisted he could not pay the taxi fare as he was the sole financial provider for his two children.
Kirsty has a benign brain tumor and as a result of this tumor she is deaf in one ear and suffers from tinnitus as a result, and speaking in court Kirsty shared that the tumor was ‘growing very quickly’.
Yıldız added that he received radiotherapy but did not know whether it would help shrink the tumor.
He said: ‘I am not a valuable person, I am very modest. I’m not saying I can’t use public transportation. ‘We’ve all done that occasionally.’
Sophia Dower, who represents the TV presenter, said Gallacher was ‘the epitome of a one-woman band’.

The presenter, who appeared in court to plead guilty to a single charge of speeding, shared that the tumor was ‘growing very quickly’ and that he was receiving radiotherapy.
He said the following about his health problems in court: ‘I have a brain tumor, acoustic neuroma, benign.
‘But it’s growing so fast. They’ve been watching this for the last three years. I am currently doing radiotherapy.
‘We don’t know if radiotherapy will work or if it will shrink.’ [the tumour] or not. ‘Suck it up and see how it goes.’
The presenter earns £150,000 a year presenting on Gold Radio and told the court he has around £80,000 in savings.
Kirsty was also fined a total of £1,044 for the offence, as well as a six-month driving ban.
District Judge Arvind Sharma told him: ‘I accept things will be more difficult for you but this is all manageable.
‘I do not accept that your son has to get in the car every morning and that you have saved enough money to take a taxi for yourself and your children.’
He was also fined a total of £1,044 for this offence.

Gallacher spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail and said he was ‘shocked’ by the decision.
He said: ‘There is no empathy. I’m just an ordinary mother with dishes spinning, I do everything. My health will also be very difficult.’
In October, Kirsty revealed she would undergo radiotherapy for a month after being diagnosed with a benign brain tumour.
The Gold radio host shared the terrifying image of a needle being jabbed into his arm on his Instagram story.
He wrote: ‘And so the preparation for radiotherapy begins, less than a month away!’
Kirsty also added another picture of a yellow mask, believed to have been used as part of her treatment, and joked: ‘My Hannibal lecturer mask… can’t wait.’
Four years ago, the mother of two shared that she was diagnosed with a benign ear tumor.
He has since spoken about his ongoing struggle with tinnitus and hearing loss resulting from his health condition.
The former Sky Sports presenter revealed his tumor was inoperable and would require ‘very dangerous’ surgery to remove it.
Speaking on Loose Women, Kirsty opened up about the tumor found in the inner canal of her right ear.
He said: ‘A few years ago, I literally woke up and couldn’t really hear out of my right ear and thought, ‘Oh, this is a bit weird.’
‘I had been on a plane the week before and I thought it hadn’t exploded so I went to the doctor and it was a medical emergency because obviously it could have been a brain tumour.
‘So they were very clever, they sent me straight to a counsellor.
‘It took them a while to figure out what was going on because it was after Covid, but it’s called an acoustic neuroma, which is a benign tumor that happens to a lot of people. I don’t know why.”
Speaking in court, Kirsty said: ‘We don’t know if the radiotherapy will work or if it will shrink. [the tumour] or not. ‘Suck it up and see how it goes’
On the Vanessa Feltz Show, audiologist Dr. Speaking with Gladys Sanda, the 49-year-old presenter talked about the difficulties she faced in noisy environments.
He said: ‘They offered hearing aids. I’m not there yet, I don’t think so. I manage this well.
‘I find it upsetting and I understand… it’s management and sometimes if I’m in a difficult environment acoustically, let’s say I went out to dinner last night, it’s a noisy environment, sometimes I have to leave. I’m really sorry.
‘I can’t cope because I can’t hear anyone… I look at people’s lips now because my hearing loss in my right ear is pretty bad.’
Kirsty was diagnosed after experiencing hearing difficulties during rehearsals for GB News in 2021.
