Amyl and the Sniffers gig cancelled last minute due to ‘crowd safety concerns’

Australian rock fans who gathered to see AC/DC’s opening act Amyl and the Sniffers were left disappointed when the free concert was canceled at the last minute due to “crowd safety concerns”.

The band were supposed to play at Federation Square at 8.30pm on Friday but were told to return immediately when fans arrived.

The cancellation was announced on a large screen, prompting cheers from the crowd estimated in the thousands.
