Rahul Gandhi reacts to Bihar Election Results 2025: ‘Truly surprising’

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi called the Bihar elections ‘unfair’ because the party had to wreak havoc in this high-stakes battle. Describing these as truly surprising, he said, “We could not achieve victory in an election that was unfair from the beginning.”

The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha expressed gratitude to the voters by taking X and promised to review the huge loss in the state. “I express my sincere gratitude to millions of voters in Bihar who expressed their trust in Mahagathbandhan. This result in Bihar is truly surprising. We could not achieve victory in an election that was unfair from the very beginning. This fight is for the protection of the Constitution and democracy. Congress Party and INDIA alliance will thoroughly review this result and make their efforts even more effective to save democracy,” he tweeted.

Bihar Election Results 2025

The ruling NDA on Friday secured a three-fourth majority in the Bihar Assembly, winning 183 seats so far in the 243-member Assembly, according to the latest results on the Election Commission website. The BJP emerged as the largest party, winning 83 seats and was leading in six other constituencies as well. INDIA bloc has managed to win only 32 seats so far. While RJD won 23 seats and led in two other constituencies, Congress won six seats, CPI(ML) Liberation won two seats and CPI(M) won one seat.
