Wimbledon 2025 results: Sonay Kartal beats Viktoriya Tomova to reach third round

After taking the first service break in the sixth match of the opening set, Kartal really took a step and hit the impressive winners that his opponent struggled to deal with the first set in 5-2 to get the first set.

It wasn’t better for Tomova in the second set, because Eagle won the first four games to assume his dominance.

Tomova managed to break Kartal’s service in the fifth game, but Briton’s march only delayed a perfect win.

The next Kartal is a match against Diana Shnaider 15 or Diane Parry, the world number 15.
