CCTV shows man allegedly kidnapped at gun-point in Sydney
A 43-year-old man, who was allegedly dragged from a car and abducted in Sydney’s west, has been released while police search for his attackers.
The man was pulled from a white car on Coraki Road in Bass Hill at around 10.30pm on Tuesday.
While it was alleged that a gun was used during the kidnapping, shots were opened while the victim was being dragged into a Mercedes that was speeding away from the scene.
CCTV footage of the scene shows two men getting out of the Mercedes and appearing to hide before a white car with the kidnapped man inside approaches.
One of the men then runs towards the car with what appears to be a gun.
The kidnapped man is dragged to the Mercedes and then speeds away from the scene.
Police discovered the man was released at around 10.45am on Thursday and taken to hospital for treatment.
Detectives from the Robbery and Serious Crimes Squad are continuing the investigation. A possible family connection to an underworld crime figure is also part of the investigation.
